As we prepare to launch our new magazine, we’re returning to where it all began, booting up the trusty HP Compaq that birthed Indie Games Developer Magazine. We’re extracting showcases from past issues to build a living archive of our beginnings and the UK communities that have grown with us over the last 13 years. It’s a tribute to our journey, noting where we started, how far we’ve come, and how the scene has evolved.
This relaunch is about progress. The new magazine debuts a completely refreshed layout and format, designed for clarity, depth, and discovery, setting it apart from anything we’ve produced before. As we build up to the relaunch, you’ll start to see pieces appear, including side by side references to past and present showcases, updated interviews, and many follow ups on what developers have been creating since.
